Q - I have a space in my right eyebrow where the eyebrow hairs do not grow, how could the therapist improve this shape?
A -The overall shape will be assessed prior to treatment to ensure the shape chosen will allow for this. In addition to this you would be shown various methods of adding colour across this space. For example: eyebrow pencil andeyebrow tinting.
Q - I have read that eyebrow shaping can be done by waxing rather than tweezing, is this the case and is it permanent?
A - Yes, this treatment can be given to the eyebrow area. Warm wax is applied with a small spatula to the area and removed quickly with a material strip cut to the size of the area being treated. It is a quick treatment preferred by some to tweezing. It is a temporary treatment and some clients find this method the hair regrowth is slower then tweezing.
Eyebrow/Lash Tinting
This treatment will add colour to your eyelashes and/or your eyebrows. A permanent tint is carefully applied to the lashes and left on for 5-10minutes. The tint is removed and the client is then free to wear additional makeup if so wished. The life cycle of the eyelash and eyebrow hair is approximately 4-6 weeks therefore after this period of time the hair will have returned to its original colour.
Most therapists will apply a skin test to new clients prior to the treatment. This will need to be given at a minimum of 24 hours prior to the actual treatment.
Eyebrow/Lash Tinting FAQ
Q - Can you tell me the colours available for this treatment?
A - The tint is available in Black, Brown, Grey and Dark Blue. In addition to this the tint colours can be mixed to create depth of colour. For example, blue/black, brown/black. Your therapist will advise you on the suitable colour for you depending on your individual needs.
Q - Will the tint come off when I apply mascara, remove make-up or come into contact with water?
A - The tint used is a permanent tint. The colour will not lift onto any material or dilute in water therefore treat your lashes and brows as normal.
